OL Football Club 1st XI 2006/7 Report PDF Print E-mail

After two seasons playing at their highest level for 70 years, the 1st XI was relegated last season after a disappointing campaign. Despite some pleasing early performances, the squad lacked the quality and depth that was required in what is generally regarded as the best amateur league in London.  The undoubted highlight of the season was a run in the Old Boys' Cup that culminated in a narrow semi-final defeat and included an impressive victory over Old Owens.  The squad will look forward to playing in the second division after an extremely tough two years and will hope to bounce straight back to the top flight!
