We record with regret the death of Mr Gordon A L Sullivan who has died at 94 years old. He attended The John Lyon School from 1924 to 1930 and went on to work at Barclays Bank before serving with the Royal Artillery during the Second World War in France, North Africa, Italy, Holland and Germany. After the war, he returned to work as a Manager at Barclays and was elected as Mayor of Hillingdon on two occasions. He lived in Eastcote until 1998 and then moved to a nursing home in Devon where he resided until his death. Mr Sullivan remained a lifelong Old Lyonian and will be sadly missed.
The funeral will be held at Exeter Crematorium on Friday 25th April 2008. The Old Lyonian Association sends its condolences to his family.
