The Pétanque Section again ran the normal annual competitions of Triples, Doubles and Singles, the points awarded for these competitions led to Kaoushik Gentilil becoming Club Champion, just pipping Mike Quaia at the post. In addition to these closed competitions, the Club traditionally holds 2 opens :-
The Fullers Mixed Doubles competition was held on 8 October, attracting 12 teams, with the honours going to the Harrow husband and wife team of Janet and Martin Baker. The Club again entered two teams (Harrow Carreau and Harrow Seniors) in the Thames Valley Midweek League. Harrow Carreau finished third in Division 1 with the Seniors gaining promotion from Division 2, playing all their games undefeated (12/12). The Thames Valley League Cup competition is nearing completion, with Harrow teams in the Main and Plate events. Harrow Seniors are playing in the Plate final on the 31st October against a team from Burnham. Harrow Carreau having been knocked out in the Semi final of the Main. ![]() Some of our younger members Harrow, in addition this year, hosted three other events, the EPA Ladies Triples, an “Amis à Londres” event, a social gathering for French people and their husbands/wives and the Sisca Cassis Challenge. The latter being a qualifying event for the grand final which was held in Battersea Park. |




The Max Jorda Memorial Triples were held on 17th September, with a team from the Chiltern region winning and a team from our fellow London Region Club, Croydon, finishing in second place, reversing the result of last year.
