Tom French, 23-year-old younger son of Mr Roger French, Biology Master at The John Lyon School, played for Wasps in their memorable win over favourites Leicester in front of a crowd of 80,000 people - a record for a club match - at Twickenham last Sunday (20 May 2007). Tom, who propped against England International Jason White, was on the field for the entire 80 minutes. Tom was a pupil at Harrow School and this was his first appearance for the first team in a championship match.
