We were delighted to welcome back to John Lyon the leavers of 1992, 1987, 1982 who this year celebrated respective 30, 35, 40-year anniversaries since leaving the School.
Those who attended, enjoyed a tour of the School and see the obvious changes to the buildings. The afternoon was spent looking at whole school photographs, speech day programmes and were challenged to find out the names of all the students in the pictures. It was lovely to hear from many OLs who are still in contact with their fellow classmates who have continue their friendships.
Many OLs spoke about the positive impact extra curriculum activities like the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and Duke of Edinburgh scheme benefitted them during their time and shared their experience with Flt Lt Lorraine Mann, School Staff Instructor and Rob Ellis-Paul, DofE & Outdoor Pursuits Co-Ordinator.
Thank you to all those who travelled from near and far to attend the event It was a lovely afternoon reconnecting with old friends, and sharing memories from their time at John Lyon.
Reunions are a fantastic way to meet up with old friends and reminisce about your days at the School with old friend, ignite new friendships and see how the school has changed since you left.
